This special edition reel, developed in collaboration with Kazunari Shimizu, offers a refined version of the standard model.
Equipped with an 85-95mm carbon crank handle arm as standard, it was developed to achieve a balance of maneuverability and lightweight tackle. Its line capacity of 400m of PE3 or 600m of PE2 makes it ideal for targeting kingfish, Japanese amberjack, yellowfin tuna, and inshore amberjack, as well as mid-deepwater species like razorfish and black porgy. The standard gear (gear ratio 6.3) provides a convenient 103cm winding length per handle rotation for a reel of this size. The 6.3 gear ratio provides impressive reeling power, allowing you to close the gap with larger fish. A high gear (gear ratio 7.1) is also available. The winding length per handle rotation is 115cm. When using a large amount of line in deep water or drift fishing, the spool's available line capacity decreases, shortening the winding length per handle rotation. This model is perfect for slow jigging in such situations. With its fast reeling speed, it is also useful in situations where you want to cast the jig far and give it a long fall.

The 22 SALTIGA 15-SJ series features a carbon crank handle arm. High sensitivity and light weight improve tackle balance.
High rigidity achieved by a 5mm plate thickness. Even with powerful jerks or fighting with large fish, it is possible to reel in without bending.
ATD DRAG
Daiwa’s Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag start up. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia and combined with the structural changes of the ATD Drag System results in a smoother drag from the initial hook up.
