The waterproof cassette drag featured in the EX series prevents complete immersion of the drag mechanism under certain conditions. Its structure maintains drag performance even in scenarios where it is inevitably submerged, such as rocky shore fishing or intense splashes from small boat games. The integrated drag washer is made from a mixture of Teflon resin and fiberglass, coated with Teflon grease, a SOM traditional offshore drag material.
