GRIP TAPE – INSTALLATION GUIDE

Product features

How to Use

1. Fit the shrink tubes
Slide the supplied shrink tubes onto the grip or handle first.
(You will wrap double-sided tape on the grip, so it is much easier if the tubes are put on before taping.)

2. Apply double-sided tape
Wrap the thin double-sided tape evenly around the section where you want to improve the grip.

3. Start wrapping the grip tape
Peel off the protective film from the grip tape.
Remove the paper from the small triangular end and set this slanted tip at the butt end of the grip as shown in the picture.
Begin wrapping the tape diagonally along the grip.

4. Wrap with light tension
The key point is to keep moderate tension on the tape as you wrap.

• Pulling too hard makes the tape wear out faster.

• Not pulling at all can leave the grip loose or uneven.
  Aim for a smooth, firm feel.

5. Cut off the excess tape
When you reach the desired length, cut the grip tape straight across, perpendicular to the grip, and remove the extra piece.

6. Check the wrapped section
Make sure the wrapped area is smooth, with no gaps, overlaps, or wrinkles. Adjust if needed.

7. Position the second shrink tube
Slide the other shrink tube into place so that there is a tube covering each end of the grip tape.

8. Heat the shrink tubes
Using a lighter or a hair dryer, slowly rotate the grip while heating the shrink tubes so they shrink evenly and clamp the tape firmly.

9. Finish shrinking
Continue heating until both tubes are tight and there are no loose spots.

10. Completed grip
Allow everything to cool. Your new non-slip grip is now ready for use.

Maintenance

The non-slip performance will gradually deteriorate from water and UV exposure.
If possible, it is recommended to replace the grip tape about once per season.
